Approval has been given for a major Romanian road project.
Romania’s Buzau-Focsani highway project has been given official approval by the country’s government. The project is expected to cost €1.47 billion and the route will form part of the international TEN-T network.
The highway will connect capital Bucharest with Ploiesti and Siret in one direction and with Giurgiu in the other direction. The construction work will be split into four separate sections. Included in the project will be the construction of 23 bridges of varying lengths as well as six major interchanges and four service areas.
