Two new Danube River bridge crossings are being proposed.
There are plans in hand to construct two new bridges spanning the Danube River. One would link Romania with Bulgaria while the other would be in Hungary.
Meanwhile, plans are being drawn up for a new bridge spanning the River Danube to link Giurgiu in Romania to Ruse in Bulgaria. A contract for the feasibility study into the project will be the first step towards its construction. The plans for the project have been proposed by the Romanian National Road Agency (CNAIR).
