Luanda corridor project for Angola

The new Luanda corridor project in Angola will receive funding worth in excess of US$216 million. Phase two of this project to build new corridors for public transportation in Luanda Province is due to commence shortly. The $14.1 million contract to supervise the project will be handled by DAR Angola. Meanwhile Brazilian construction firm Odebrecht has a $202.6 million contract to build the new transport corridors.

Portuguese firm wins contracts in Angola and Brazil

A series of major road projects will be carried out by Portuguese contractor Mota Engil in Angola and Brazil. In all the work is worth in excess of US$419 million. The company is building a 10km section of the Via Expressa around capital Luanda, as well as upgrading another key route in the city. Luanda’s population has grown significantly in recent years and many existing roads are now proving unable to cope with demand.

Four Angola road contracts awarded

Four road construction and repair contracts have been awarded in Angola by its road agency, Instituto Nacional de Estradas de Angola (INEA). The prUSojects are all being carried out in the area around capital Luanda. The largest project will be carried out by Mota Engil. This is a $192 million package of works to upgrade the Via Expressa/Camama/Avenida Pedro de Castro Van-Dúnem Loy route.
