Work is being carried out to rebuild roads in Ghana’s capital.
Road rebuilding work is now being carried out on the eastern side of Ghana’s capital, Accra. The work is costing around US$30 million and is intended to cut congestion in the area.
Around 40km of roads will be improved in the Agyiringanor township. Work will also be carried out in Adentan and in Ayawaso.
Some of the most congested road stretches will be widened to boost capacity. In addition, an overpass and new storm water drainage culverts will be constructed. The work is being carried out in two phases and should take two years to carry out.
