The new corridor will link the south with the north of Honduras and will be interconnected with existing road infrastructure, such the section between Tegucigalpa and Flores, in Comayagua. In total, some 54km of new roads will be developed by Brazilian construction companies Queiroz Galvao and BOaEnse. Upon completion, the new corridor will be operated by a Peruvian-Colombian consortium over a 30-year period.
