€1.07 billion is the expected cost of building the new motorway crossing for Limfjordsøen Egholm in Denmark. The tender for the consultancy contract for the project has now been started by the Danish Road Directorate.

The project would provide the third Limfjord connection at Aalborg. The link would include a tunnel section as well as a bridge.

Meanwhile, also in Denmark there is criticism over the alignment for the proposed Midtjysk Motorway. The project is expected to cost over €667 million. The Danish Road Directorate has published a report saying that the new 40km link would provide little benefit for traffic flow. The Danish Government however has committed itself to provide the necessary funds for the link.
