A major new Colombian road project is now ready for use.
An important road project in Colombia is now ready for use by drivers. The Via del Nus road link is located in Colombia’s Antioquia Department and the new road link will improve transport in the area.
The 157.4km road link has cost US$309.7 million to build. However, managing and maintenance work for the route is expected to cost $712.4 million. The route features 17 bridges and 4.2km of tunnel stretches.
The new road connection will improve transport between Colombia's second city, Medellin and Barbosa, Bello, Cisneros, Copacabana, Donmatías, Girardota, San Roque, Santa Rosa de Osos, Santo Domingo, and Maceo. The route will also cut journey times from Pradera to Alto de Dolores.
