An important road project in Colombia is now complete, while the contract for another has now been awarded.

In Colombia's Antioquia Department, work is finished for the Pacifico 2 road project, which cost US$504.2 million to build. The new link is being operated by Concesion La Pintada, which is owned jointly by John Laing and Odinsa. The project involved building 42.5km of new road and improving 54km of existing road.

Meanwhile, Colombia’s National Institute of Roads (Invias) has agreed the contract for the Vias del Saman project with Findeter. The package of works includes sourcing the necessary financing, building the link and managing the project. The new road will provide an improved road connection between Valle del Cauca Department and Risarald. Building the 347km route is expected to take 36 months to complete at a cost of $302.5 million.
