Brazilian transport infrastructure development plans

The Brazilian Government is setting out its transport infrastructure development plans.

Brazil is pushing ahead with the tendering process for a series of key transport infrastructure projects during 2020. In all, 40 infrastructure projects will be put to tender, 30 of which will be new.

The Brazilian Federal Government is planning on opening up the projects to tender in a bid to give the country’s economy a boost in the wake of the pandemic. In all the works have a value of some US$9.38 billion.

Included in the works are plans to built three major road projects as well as to develop 11 ports, develop a number of airports and build rail links.
