Work is commencing shortly in a new bypass project in Benin.
Work will start during 2022 on a new bypass link for Benin’s capital Cononou, in West Africa. The 37km bypass will improve transport for the country as well as internationally as drivers will no longer have to enter the congested capital Cotonou.
The new bypass will connect the national interstate RNI2 route with the roads in the east of the country, close to the border with Nigeria. The new bypass will also span the lagoon that lies immediately to the north of Cotonou.
