More than 100 customers, distributors and members of the press joined 2403 Sandvik Construction Mobiles recently as the new S type gyratory cone crusher range received its official launch in Northern Ireland.
Sandvik’s S type gyratory cone crusher has proven itself in stationary applications for over 30 years, becoming one of the most reliable, versatile and productive cone crushers on the market today. This technology has now been incorporated into self-contained, diesel driven, track-mounted plant, offering customers superior performance, and high product quality, in a fully mobile version. The two models which mark the launch of the new mobile range comprise the larger QS441 56tonne unit, which features the class leading CS440 cone, and the smaller, more compact 36tonne QS331, which incorporates the CS430 cone crusher.
Hospitality and accommodation were arranged at the outstanding 5 Star Loch Erne Resort, near Enniskillen (the location of this year’s G8 Summit), with the first day of the launch event enabling guests to become familiar with the crushers and facilities. The guests were invited to join in a walk-round of the crushers, and then participate in presentations and seminars on the new machines, as well as ones on recycling and quarrying.
On the second day of the event a full schedule of activities was laid on, with the guests being warmly welcomed to the Ballygawley facility, before being taken to a local quarry. Here the QS441 and QS331, as well as two other new additions to the Mobiles’ Premium range, the QE141 Scalper and QI341 Prisec Impactor, were demonstrated. After a buffet lunch reception the guests were then given a full tour of the Ballygawley production facilities.
Sandvik said the activities laid on over the two-day launch event enabled the firm to fully introduce the features of its new products, help customers identify how they will be able to benefit from them, and allow customers to see Sandvik’s first-class Ballygawley facilities first hand.
