Putzmeister’s BSF 47.5 truck-mounted pump is the lightest in its class according to the firm. Weighing less than 32tonnes, the new machine is mounted on a four axle truck and is equipped with a five section boom featuring the firm’s z-fold system. Said to be economical to operate and highly stable with its boom unfolded, the new machine meets the latest European emissions regulations. Tough and durable wear-resistant components, many of which are maintenance-free, the pump will give a long working life and
The machine requires less space for set up than earlier generation machines due to a new support system. This allows the front telescopic support legs to be adjusted to any length so that the machine can work in tight working areas. Another key feature is the sophisticated Ergonic Setup Control (ESC) package that is said to provide the operator with safe and flexible machine setup. One feature is that the machine operator sees an image of the working area live on remote control’s display of the remote control, boosting site safety.
The pump unit has been reworked and equipped with a significantly improved S transfer tube bearing. It has a chrome-plated delivery cylinder and an automatic centralised lubrication system for the entire pump, while the machine offers a delivery rate of up to 160m³/hour.
Another advanced system is the computer-based Ergonic boom control system (EBC), with a joystick allowing precise boom operation with one hand. The machine will also benefit from the sophisticated new Ergonic 2.0 control system. The fully electronic control system for the Ergonic pump system (EPS) meanwhile optimises operation of the concrete pump and truck engine. The system can display important information about the machine centrally on the colour display on the radio remote control.
