Every day throughout bauma Liebherr is demonstrating the power and effectiveness of its new XPower series of large front loaders, all Tier 4f.
It is the first trade show ever for the six models of the XPower front loaders. An L550 is being put through its paces in Liebherr’s outdoor area that is part of the manufacturer’s stand and demonstration area.

Every day throughout bauma 718 Liebherr is demonstrating the power and effectiveness of its new XPower series of large front loaders, all Tier 4f.
It is the first trade show ever for the six models of the XPower front loaders. An L550 is being put through its paces in Liebherr’s outdoor area that is part of the manufacturer’s stand and demonstration area.
“The XPower series all have power-split drivetrains,” explained Martin Koller, a spokesman for Liebherr. “XPower combines hydrostatic and mechanical drive methods. The key is that the machine knows when to use both to run the machine in the most economical and efficient way.”
The ratio of the two will be more mechanical than hydraulic when driving long distances and especially more when climbing a steep hill where mechanical drive can be around 90%, said Koller.
The axels have also been beefed up making the machines much more durable than their predecessors.
