Fiat Industrial has signed the renewal of a US$2.69 billion (€2bn) three-year committed revolving credit facility with 21 banks. The deal is said by Fiat Industrial to demonstrate the strong support the Group enjoys from its key relationship banks. The facility is intended for general corporate purposes and working capital needs and replaces the US$2.69 billion three-year revolving credit facility originally signed in December 2010.

MOBA is now offering a sophisticated excavator control package that has been developed in partnership with Finnish firm Novatron. The package has been developed along modular lines and the firm’s marketing manager Christine Seidel said, “Once the sensors are installed in the excavator you can start off with the low cost system and upgraded it later.”

Manitou is updating its MRT rotating upperstructure telescopic handler range, with Stage IIIB engines, attachment recognition systems, automatic stability settings and adaptive load charts. Split into more basic Easy models, and the higher specification Privilege line, the MRT machines use a mix of Perkins and Mercedes-Benz engines. Manitou Group’s two skid steer divisions, Gehl and Mustang, will launch versions of the same 1,815kg capacity skid steer at Bauma. The Gehl V400 and Mustang 4000V are said to be the world’s most powerful skid steers, with a vertical lift height of 3,647mm. The machines use a 74kW (99hp) engine and develop a 40.7kN breakout force.

With an operating weight of 83.8 – 86tonnes, Hitachi’s giant ZX870LCH-5 excavator is said to be built to operate on the most demanding job sites, such as large-scale construction projects and in busy quarries. The model incorporates the HIOS IIIB hydraulic system, said to allow for faster operation with lower fuel consumption and increased front speed. The ZX870LCH-5 is claimed to have 6% more productivity in H/P mode compared to the previous Zaxis model. Swing torque is also said to have increased by 9% an
