Indeco has added a full range of demolition sorting grabs to its product line-up. The company started out in 1976 making breakers and has continued to add new types of attachment as operators increasingly look to use specific equipment for each application to cut times and costs. “Hammers still represent our core business but dealers have been asking for a wider range of Indeco demolition attachments to serve customers,” said commercial director Michele Vitulano, who is the son of the company’s founder.

McCloskey International has added the option of a recirculating conveyor and screen box to its I44 impact bar mobile crusher, creating the I44R. After the material passes through the crusher, anything over a nominal 20mm is recirculated back into the crusher to be reduced further. This removes the need for a secondary crusher or screen, saving money for the operator and cutting the number of machines on site. Topcon’s RTP-300 machine, launched at INTERMAT, is no slouch in providing fast and exact road surface data for construction companies and highway authority consultants. “What is typically used is a car [fitted with road surface profiling technology] that needs to keep stopping when scanning a road surface profile. On larger highways, this has meant the road needs to be closed,” said Achiel Sturm, Topcon’s marketing manager.

Volvo has released its G900B-series motor graders for Europe and other markets. The four-model B-series – the G930B, G940B, G946B and G960B – each with a bigger engine, more power and higher torque than its predecessor, better matched transmissions, more rugged frames and ‘the highest blade down pressure’ in each weight class.

JCB has updated its 1.5tonne 8018 CTS mini excavator. The conventional tailswing machine has an improved lift capacity, thanks to a return to a box-section boom, with an 11% increase in digging depth. Dump height and reach are also improved, and the mini has a new dozer blade for greater pushing performance. Upgraded hydraulics, with longer travel valves increase control and allow straight line tracking while using upper structure functions.

The latest tracked asphalt pavers from Volvo Construction Equipment get independent travel drives and electronic traction control to help maintain productivity on slopes and around corners. The P8820C ABG can pave widths from 2.5m up to 13m and handle 1,100tonnes/hour, while the P7820C ABG paves up to 11m and places up to 900tonnes/hour.

JCB has launched its first five-stage-boom Loadall telescopic handler. The 540-200 has a 20m working height and a maximum lift capacity of 4tonnes. Using the same driveline as the 540-170, the machine is powered by JCB’s 75kW Dieselmax engine. The Loadall has a four-speed powershift transmission and uses a single servo joystick to control all boom functions.
