Terex launched three compact excavators at INTERMAT – a micro TC10 and the reduced radius TC15 and TC19. All three have been developed in co-operation with an Italian manufacturer. The TC10, which weighs just 1 tonne, has a travel width of 760mm, allowing it to pass through a standard doorway. Hydraulically extending track frames offer a digging width of 990mm for maximum stability.

Selwood Pumps has had promising meetings at INTERMAT with potential new distributors who have visited its stand in the UK Pavilion. Exports through distributors account for 75% of the pumps that Selwood manufactures. The company is highlighting the S100, S150 and S200 Super Silent pumps, which have recently been improved by the introduction of a close-coupled configuration as part of an ongoing development programme across the entire range.

Terex has introduced the production version of its Twin Drive TC16 mini excavator. Equipped with both a 13kW diesel engine and an 11kW electric motor, the 1.9tonne machine can be used in confined spaces with zero exhaust emissions. A 15m cable reel is installed behind the cab, allowing the machine to travel under electric power.

SDMO Industries describes its new R1650C power generator as the “marriage of power and compactness in a single machine”. The new model in the French company’s Rental Power range, the R1650C brings together back-up power of 1,650kVA (1,200kW), and the compactness of a 6.09m container.

Selwood will be showing its very latest pumps at Intermat including the S100, S150 and S200 Super Silent models. These units have recently been improved by the introduction of a close coupled configuration, part of on-going development programme for the entire Selwood pump range.

Built with heavy-duty steel and featuring 4x4 axles, autoshift transmission, four-wheel and crab steering with equal size tyres, Hidromek’s HMK102S backhoe loader is now being used in projects in five continents and more than 60 countries. The company says customers have described the machine as “robust” and “productive”.

Italian company Ihimer has scooped a prestigious prize in the INTERMAT 2012 Innovation Awards. Its Carry 105 Electric Power eco mini dumper secured the firm, based near Siena, in Tuscany, the award for Sustainable Development. Ihimer will receive its accolade along with 11 other prize winners during a special ceremony organised by award organisers, the National Federation of Public Works of France (FNTP), to be held in Paris on during Intermat 2012 on 16 April.

A new development from JCB is an access platform attachment for use with the firm’s 535-140 and 535-128 model telehandlers. This has been developed to meet growing market demand for access platform attachments that can be used on telehandlers in a range of construction duties.

JLG says the high-torque hydrostatic transmission of its L2906H compact telehandler, on show at INTERMAT 2012, allows for all-terrain application suitability “unmatched” by competitors. The L2906H and the rest of JLG’s compact range are equipped with a Stage IIIa Deutz engine that delivers 74.9kW Even in extreme rough terrain situations, the limited-slip differential feature on the front axle further enhances the traction provided by the high-torque hydrostatic transmission.

While lift heights remain unchanged from 10-13m, increased lift capacities can now be found across Liebherr’s four-model telehandler range, which now offers 4.1 and 5 tonne lift capabilities. And the range has been rebadged to reflect the new muscle now available. It means models numbers become TL 441-10, TL 441-13, TL 451-10 and TL 451-13. Mecalac’s AS900 tele - a rigid chassis all-wheel steer, compact loader - has been given an overhaul for 2012. The 7,250kg machine gets a new cab offering greater visibility, more internal space and quieter in-cab noise levels. A centrally positioned seat affords a clear view of the working environment, with controls integrated into a single joystick. The combination of innovative safety features in a new quick hitch device for hydraulic excavators has earned a silver award for Klac in the INTERMAT Innovation Awards 2012. The new Klac + quick hitch device comes in three models for machines of 8/9tonnes to 24/25tonnes. It has been designed to open up new markets for the company, which has specialised in quick coupling systems for 11 years but had previously focused on smaller machines.
