Liebherr is launching a revised R922 crawler excavator, replacing the previous R906 and joining the R918 and R926 in the company’s medium weight line-up. Liebherr has added a second model to its articulated hauler range with the TA240. The 40 tonne capacity truck has a 27m3 body and a 6x6 driveline. Power comes from a 16.2 litre Stage IIIB Liebherr V8 diesel engine delivering 350kW (476hp). This enables the truck to reach maximum speeds of up to 57km/h. MOBA is now offering a sophisticated excavator control package that has been developed in partnership with Finnish firm Novatron. The package has been developed along modular lines and the firm’s marketing manager Christine Seidel said, “Once the sensors are installed in the excavator you can start off with the low cost system and upgraded it later.”

A new construction equipment show for the emerging markets surfaced today when CONEXPO Latin America was launched by the Milwaukee-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). The trade body said the show was designed to “offer expanded opportunities to connect to markets in Central and South America”.

Atlas Copco Road Construction Equipment has decided to align the visual identity of its Dynapac range of rollers and pavers to the design used by the other divisions in the Atlas Copco Construction Technique business area. Launched at bauma, the new Atlas Copco logotype is clearly visible on the products together with the Dynapac name. The colour scheme changes to yellow and grey, which is already used for construction tools, portable compressors and generators.
