Road projects worth US$2 billion are ongoing for Colombia.
Four road projects worth nearly US$2 billion are now under construction in Colombia, with the necessary financing packages in place. These form part of Colombia’s 5G infrastructure programme, with a further two projects expected to commence in the first six months of 2025.
Colombia’s National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) says that the other two projects are now at the pre-construction phase. One of these two is for work to a 24.5km stretch of the Avenida Longitudinal de Occidente Tramo Sur (ALO Sur) road connecting Fontibón, south of Bogotá and Calle 13. The other is for work to a 128km stretch of road to form the Buenaventura-Loboguerrero-Buga Corridor, boosting transport to and from the port of Buenaventura.
