US$1.2 billion Brazil tolled highway auction opening

A US$1.2 billion Brazil tolled highway auction is opening for bids.

Bidding is open for a 320km section of the BR-101 tolled highway in Brazil. The deal is expected to require investments worth in the region of worth US$1.2 billion. This section of highway will link Rio-Niteroi Bridge with Espirito Santo.

A 49km stretch of the highway route will be widened. The concession will be for 23 years. The concession tender is being managed by the National Agency of Terrestrial Transport (ANTT). At present the concession is being run by AFL Concessionaria de Rodovias.
