Terex Cranes has replaced its CC2800-1 crawler crane with the Superlift 3800 lattice boom, offering improved speed and efficiency for customers. The 3800 can handle loads of up to 650tonnes at a radius of 5-12m and has a maximum load moment of 8,426t/m. The crane uses the Terex Crane Fall Protection System, with additional railings installed around the superstructure. It is the first Terex crane to feature a new cab that provides the operator with improved visibility , while side outriggers with pressure sensors allow the operator to monitor ground pressure when mounting or removing long main boom lengths.
Capacities have been improved by around 20% compared to the previous model.
The Superlift 3800 can be delivered with an integrated wind kit in its universal main boom system, allowing it to erect wind turbines of up to 117m without having to use the Superlift boom configuration.
In addition, a second crane is not required to help erect the machine’s main boom.
