Tecnoidea has introduced a plate press filtration plant with high-beam design, which is capable of working at pressures up to 16bar and said to speed the location of and replacement of breached filters. Contaminants from 3mm down to a few microns are captured by the filters with 95% of the water removed for re-use. When the operation allows, the twin pump system is adjusted using an inverter to reduce the working pressure and lower energy consumption.
Maximum sludge capacity is 10m3/cycle and the cakes are discharged by gravity. Water cleanliness meets the Italian 80mg/lit limit for discharging water to rivers and lakes and even tighter levels can be met using sand bed filtration after-treatment.
