Moscow construction machine show in June 2018

The organisers of the bauma CTT RUSSIA 2018 report strong interest in demand for show space from exhibitors. This reflects a resurgence in the Russian construction market, with president Vladimir Putin having recently commented on the country’s planned programme for more road construction and upgrade projects over the next six years. The Moscow show attracted good attendance figures for 2017, but a far stronger attendance is expected for 2018 due to the resurgence in the Russian construction market

The budget for road and highway upgrades is expected to double to US$195.3 billion for the coming six year period. According to Russia’s Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor), some 8,272km of roads will be repaired. This will include major repair works to 1,868km of roads. The planned road development programme will require Russian contractors to buy new equipment fleets to replace ageing machines, having held off on replacement in recent years due to the past construction slowdown. Not only will road contractors benefit however, as the quarry sector will receive a much-needed boost for supplying suitable aggregates. Again for Russia’s quarry firms, this will require significant spending on new machines to replace ageing equipment that has previously been retained due to lower demand levels, allowing a major boost in production.

As a result there is a highly positive outlook for Russia's most important construction equipment and construction engineering trade fair, according to the bauma CTT organisers. New data shows that the Russian construction machinery market is back on track for growth path. As a result the exhibition has been upgraded and the trade fair now has a demonstration area and has also received government support.

The bauma CTT RUSSIA 2018 trade fair will be a key platform for the international construction machinery and construction engineering industry during 2018. The show organisers say that the focus for the 2018 event will be on the Russian market. The trade fair will take place in Moscow from June 5th to 8th, 2018.
