Hatz Diesel will take the wraps off a new engine family at Bauma, with the launch of the H series, a 2.0–litre water-cooled engine family that features Bosch common rail fuel injection with pressures up to 1,800 bar. Hatz 2.0-litre H series engine line
7125 Hatz Diesel will take the wraps off a new engine family at Bauma, with the launch of the H series, a 2.0–litre water-cooled engine family that features 3405 Bosch common rail fuel injection with pressures up to 1,800 bar. Producing 56kW (75hp) and 130Nm of torque, the engine meets European Stage IIIB emissions regulations and US Tier 4 Final standards. The engine, a first at this size for the company with liquid-cooling, uses exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) but does without a diesel particulate filter (DPF).
Hatz will also show a concept single-cylinder engine, the 1D81 hydro. As the name suggests this single-cylinder motor is also water-cooled, a major departure for Hatz. The engine is particularly compact and uses an integral radiator, with no external hoses. This means that the engine is barely larger than the company’s standard air-cooled 1D81.
Hatz is celebrating the American introduction of its water-cooled multi-cylinder 4H50TIC turbo engine at Conexpo 2014. The engine is said by the German diesel engine manufacturer to set several new standards in its class.
The two-litre model became available to buy in January 2014 and has a maximum power of 55kW and a maximum torque of 240Nm. Including starter and alternator, the 4H50TIC weighs just 173kg, said by Hatz to be a saving 90kg compared to its next competitor. As a result, the engine is said by
