Doosan is now offering its new DL06K engine, which is designed to meet the needs of the Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emissions requirements. Delivering 91kW at 1,950rpm, this six cylinder diesel is said to be both powerful and economical and weighs in at 900kg. Common rail, direct injection feeds the fuel to this 5.9litre four stroke diesel engine, which is also turbocharged.

695 Doosan is now offering its new DL06K engine, which is designed to meet the needs of the Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emissions requirements. Delivering 91kW at 1,950rpm, this six cylinder diesel is said to be both powerful and economical and weighs in at 900kg. Common rail, direct injection feeds the fuel to this 5.9litre four stroke diesel engine, which is also turbocharged. Exhaust gas recirculation is used to maximise efficiency and reduce emissions to the levels required for the European and US regulations. For use in the new DX180LC-3 excavator, the DL06K engine delivers 88kW at 1,950rpm and in this installation the turbo charging features an air to air intercooler.
The DX180LC-3 is the first of Doosan’s mid-range stage IIIB compliant excavators. Powered by a Doosan DL06 common rail six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, this 18tonne excavator uses a combination of EGR and DPF to meet emissions legislation. As a result, the new engine offers more power and torque than the stage IIIA DX180LC, and the potential to save 5-10% fuel consumption.
