Atlas Copco is aiming its high performing HB3600 breaker at carriers in the 35-63tonne class. The firm claims that this hammer delivers 46% more performance for its weight than the average breaker in its size class while overall it offers 30% greater efficiency. This is a new breaker size designed to match the increasing diversity of carrier sizes and provide a better size and performance fit for carriers in the 26-63tonne class than existing models.

Case Construction Equipment says it has improved performance of its T Series range of tractor loader backhoes, with the adoption of Tier 4 Interim compliant engines, an automatic ride control system, faster backhoe boom positioning and a choice of transmissions. The changes are said to have resulted in lower model fuel consumption, reduced emissions, increased operator comfort, higher breakout force and greater lift capacity.

Fecon’s new FTX100 LGP mulching tractor is said by the company to be ideal for right of way clearing, site prep and many other forestry applications. Equipped with a 99hp Kubota V3800, the FTX100 LGP has a heavier undercarriage than the original machine. It offers both 40cm and 51cm track shoe options in single or triple grouser. These options are said to allow the contractor to outfit the machine for rough terrain or soft ground conditions where a light footprint or reduced ground disturbance is important.

Cable Detection claims its new EZiTEX t100 is set to “revolutionise” underground cable location with its increased power and four output levels. The firm says the state-of-the-art compact signal transmitter has also maintained all the onsite flexibility of the EZiTRACE 8/33. The EZITEX t100 is said to trace services over a greater distance, improve service detection in areas of high signal interference, and improve depth estimation when using a depth locator.

Compact they may be, but the recently launched Kramer Allrad 650 and 550 wheel-loaders are said to be designed to handle weighty construction matters. Both machines are made for the 0.6m³ class, have all-wheel steering mechanisms to reduce material handling time, and are also fitted with a non-articulated chassis, said by Kramer to ensure high stability due to the constant centre of gravity. This has been developed to meet growing market demand for access platform attachments that can be used on telehandlers in a range of construction duties. Designed for use in finishing work or tunnel construction for example, the platform is offered in three versions with the basic fixed unit, an extending model and one that both slews and extends. Komatsu has begun taking orders for factory-fitted double auxiliary circuits for its MR-3 mini-excavators, which can be comfortably controlled by a double slider on the machine’s PPC joysticks. Higher performances and an improved oil ¬flow, with a perfect pipe routing and smooth fingertip controls, are said by Komatsu to be a few advantages of this new option. By switching to the Attachment work mode, the double circuit offers many possibilities to the operator.

Diversified Products (DP) has launched two Pole Puller models, said by the firm to be giving electric utility crews a faster and safer method for pole removal. The XHD-60 pole puller delivers more than 54,432kgs of pulling force and can handle poles up to 66cms in diameter.
