A compact excavator B7 Sigma by
The machine, acquired from the Yanmar dealer SK Baumaschinen, has as a special feature the Sigma boom that enabled it to work very precisely on a driveway located on a difficult slope and with limited swing area.
Equipped with a hydraulic breaker, it first broke the driveway’s 40cm concrete layer then excavated the soil with a digging bucket.
Despite the steeply inclined driveway surrounded by the garage, a house wall and a narrow road, the B7 Sigma remained stable.
The machine’s centre-mounted boom has the advantages of a mini and as well as a large excavator. It always worked within the track, like a mini excavator. And it placed heavy loads, like a large excavator. Its three-piece boom allowed it to accomplish delicate work next to the house wall.
After loading the broken concrete onto a truck, the excavator filled the driveway with gravel and lifted the concrete supporting angles putting them into their right position. Finally, the machine filled the mineral mixture into the ground and distributed it. Lastly, cobblestones were paved into the driveway construction. Time taken – two weeks.
Additionally, the B7 Sigma-6 is equipped with the newest generation (Y-HARMONIZER) of Yanmar TNV engines, which is already compliant with the proposed EU Stage 5 requirements. This means that the emission of ultrafine particles is reduced and the machine needs no further modifications to meet future regulations.
