Amey Consulting is to work on Scotland’s Excel Civil Engineering and Technical Consultancy Framework. The framework is worth £72.5 million in all.

The framework is open to 32 local Scottish authorities as well as several other Scottish public sector organisations. The firm will work across six lots: roads & structures; transport planning; environmental ; drainage & flooding; master planning; project management.

Key to Amey Consulting’s involvement will be designing for towns and cities across Scotland to enhance walking and cycling facilities. This will transform urban areas and contribute to economic growth, as well as sustainability and public health.

This news builds on Amey Consulting’s existing commitment to Scotland.  This includes working with North Lanarkshire Council to design a new road link, with associated walking and cycling links, to connect the Ravenscraig development to Motherwell town centre, as part of the Pan-Lanarkshire Orbital Transport Corridor.

In addition, Amey Consulting recently announced it is providing highways design services to the Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside project, improving all transport links to a new 184m bridge crossing of the River Clyde

The consultancy is delivering these works from its Edinburgh and Motherwell design hubs.
