Congo road upgrade works commencing

Construction work is now commencing for a programme of road improvements in Congo.

A new road improvement programme is being carried out  in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The project is costing a total of US$300 million and will see maintenance and improvements carried out to 228km of roads.

The works will be carried out under the PPP model. Road stretches being improved include the 58km route from Beni to Butembo, the 85km road connecting Beni and Kasindi and the 85km road between Bunagana and Goma. The country will benefit from improved transport once the work is complete.
