Russian road concession deal agreed

A concession package has been agreed for a toll road project in the Bashkortostan Republic. The US$512 million construction project will provide a new link from the M5 Ural highway route to Ufa, the capital of the Bashkortostan Republic.

RSSA concession package has been agreed for a toll road project in the Bashkortostan Republic. The US$512 million construction project will provide a new link from the M5 Ural highway route to Ufa, the capital of the Bashkortostan Republic.


The work still to be carried out involved completing a 1.2km tunnel stretch, a 2.5km bridge and a 14km section of highway. The concession package was awarded to the 3012 VTB Group and is for a period of 25 years. Meanwhile the construction work is now being carried out by the Bashkir Concession Company, itself a part of VTB Group.
