Upgrade work is planned for an elevated highway in Sri Lanka. The work is for widening and improvements to the elevated highway running through Colombo. The project will benefit from a loan worth US$100 million from the China Development Bank (CDB).

The Ministry of Megapolis & Western Development has received official approval to set up a management firm between the Sri Lankan Government and CHEC Port City Colombo. This firm will manage and oversee the operations of Colombo Port City.
