The 12.24km section in Romania includes five viaducts and a bridge.
Romania's National Company for Road Infrastructure Management (CNAIR) has approved a technical project for the Zimbor-Poarta Salajului section of the Transylvania Highway. The 12.24km section, which includes five viaducts and a bridge, will cost around nearly €138 million. Work will start shortly with a finish date in 2024.
CNAIR also recently approved the €1.62 billion development of the Focsani-Bacau Highway, part of the A7-Moldova Highway. Work on the 98.8km stretch will be divided into three lots.
Meanwhile, the transport ministry has approved in principal a €1.5 billion development of the 77km Bacau-Pascani Highway. CNAIR will now consider going out to tender, according to media reports.
