Funding has been secured for a major bridge project planned for the Philippines. The South Korean Government will supply a portion of the funding required for the project to construct the planned Panay-Guimaras-Negros Bridge.

Once complete, the bridge will stretch more than 32km, making it the longest in the Philippines. The bridge design calls for two stretches, section A and section B. The former will measure 13km. The latter will measure 19.5km and include a sea crossing of 13.1km.

The funding package for design and construction works has been arranged with South Korea’s Economic Development Cooperation Fund and the KEXIM Bank.
