Important Paraguayan highway projects are being planned.
Three important highway projects will be carried out in Paraguay. Two of the contracts are for stretches of the Metropolitan Corridor of the East while the other is for the Costanera Sur road project.
The CT Vial consortium, which includes Tecnologia del Sur and Constructora Isacio Vallejos, will build a 19km stretch of four lane highway for Lot 1 of the Metropolitan Corridor of the East. Constructora Acaray meanwhile will build a 4.6km stretch of the Metropolitan Corridor of the East.
The two contracts were awarded by Paraguay’s Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), while funding will be provided in the shape of a US$212 million loan from CAF.
The Consorcio del Sur joint venture comprises Eurofinsa and T&C and is working on a 7.6km stretch of the Costanera Sur road project. The partners are receiving funding of nearly $130 million provided by Banco Itau Paraguay, KfW, and Med Life for this project.
