Pakistan highway project now commencing

Construction work is starting in Pakistan on the new E-35 Highway project.

Construction work is starting in Pakistan on the new E-35 Highway project. The work is costing US$326.6 million and construction of the highway route is starting in Hasan Abdal. A portion of the funding, $205 million, is being supplied by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). A further $121.6 million is being supplied by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) as part of the Pakistan Economic Corridors initiative. The new highway will run through the cities of Haripur and Abbottabad and the project is intended to boost economic development in the region.
