New bridges linking Paraguay and Argentina are being discussed.
Discussions have been held between Argentina and Paraguay with regard to the construction of new bridges to connect the two nations. One of the bridges will span the Paraguay River and connect Pilar in Paraguay with Puerto Cano in Argentina.
A further meeting to discuss this project will be held between the two nations in mid-2022. The feasibility study for the bridge is being carried out.
The feasibility study for a bridge link between Clorinda in Argentina and Falco in Paraguay is also being carried out. Another bridge is planned between between Presidente Franco in Paraguay and Puerto Yguazu in North East Argentina.
Financing to assist with the construction these bridge links could be provided by the development bank of Latin America, CAF.
