Both towns are in northern Czech Republic, near the Polish border. Work includes construction of 19 bridges, five noise reduction barriers and two flyovers.
Last July, the Czech road management company RSD said it was looking for a contractor for 15km section, one of the last remaining sections of the D11 to be built. The RSD said that the work was worth around €218.3 million, according to Czech media at the time.
Construction of another section between the town of Trutnov and the border with Poland is likely to start in 2019 and the Jaromer-Trutnov section after 2020.
The D11 motorway connecting Prague and Hradec Králové began in 1978. It is part of European route E67 – the so-called Via Baltica - from the Czech capital Prague to the Finnish capital Helsinki by way of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
