€30 billion investment is planned for Italy’s road network upgrade.
A €30 billion investment for Italy’s roads over 15 years will see the country’s network being upgraded and revamped. The upgrade programme is being planned by Italian highway firm Autostrade per l'Italia (ASPI). Crucial maintenance work will also be carried out where required.
The increased road improvement funding will help deliver better transportation for Italy. The budget is larger than expected. ASPI manages 3,000km of roads in Italy.
