A key Costa Rican road project is receiving additional funding.
Work on an important road project in Costa Rica will benefit from additional funding. A package worth US$200 million is being provided by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB).
The road will connect with San Carlos and the package is intended to ensure that the work on the link will be completed by the end of 2023. However, further funding is still required. The project has seen costs increase due to the rising price of materials as well as a number of other factors.
