Cost of Germany’s A94 autobahn expansion rises by 75%

The cost of expanding the A94 autobahn between Pastetten and Heldenstein in Germany is likely to be 75% higher than originally estimated.

The cost of expanding the A94 autobahn between Pastetten and Heldenstein in Germany is likely to be 75% higher than originally estimated.


A report by the newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung said that the original estimate was around €440 million. However, according to government documents, the cost could reach nearly €770 million.

|Meanwhile, the sixteenth construction phase to expand the A100 around Berlin is estimated to cost around € 473million. The project, which includes several new road and rail bridges, is scheduled for completion in 2022.
