Progress is being seen in Bangladesh on the project for a new expressway connecting the capital Dhaka with the second city, Chittagong. The expressway project will be developed by the Roads and Highways Department (RHD) of Bangladesh using the PPP model. The new route will be constructed in addition to the existing four lane route that connects the capital with the country’s main port. The work will be carried out in three sections, an 84km stretch from Dhaka to Comilla, a 53km section from Comilla to Feni and an 81km stretch between Feni and Chittagong.
