Australian road project costing more

An important Australian road project is costing more.

The Coomera Connector road project in Queensland, Australia now looks likely to cost more than originally anticipated. This project is now expected to come with a pricetag of US$1.54 billion (A$2.1 billion), and increase of 40% of the previous estimate for the work.

The Coomera Connector project is for a 45km road connection between Logan and Nerang. The Australian Government is providing an additional $232 million for the project.
