Komatsu claims that its new D65EXi/PXi-18 bulldozer offers high production and quality. The new D65EXi/PXi-18 is an EU Stage IV emissions certified dozer that benefits from the firm’s innovative intelligent Machine Control technology. The firm says that the new dozer can perform finish grading in auto mode, which is already possible with conventional machine control. Meanwhile its novel and fully automatic blade control can also handle rough dozing, boosting productivity.
The D65EXi/PXi-18 has operating
The D65EXi/PXi-18 has operating weights that range from 20.5-24.9tonnes and its Komatsu SAA6D114E-6 engine puts out a net 162kW. A standard model (EX) with the Komatsu patented SIGMADOZER, and a low ground pressure machine (PX) with a straight tilt or INPAT blade, offer options for flotation and weight distribution to customers to best match the application.
A key feature is the factory installed machine control system. This includes a cab top GNSS antenna, an enhanced inertial measuring unit (IMU+), and stroke sensing hydraulic cylinders. The integrated sensors package is said to be robust while providing highly accurate data. This also eliminates the daily chore of setting up and removing GNSS antennas and cables from the blade, along with the associated wear.
The D65EXi/PXi-18 performs rough dozing in automatic mode, due to its fully automatic blade load control. When rough dozing, the blade load is automatically monitored and blade elevation adjusted for high-efficiency dozing with minimal track slip. As work progresses, the automatic blade control further adjusts to provide finish grade performance with high-level accuracy.
The D65EXi/PXi-18 is also equipped with the latest KOMTRAX remote monitoring technology with data access via the web or via KOMTRAX Mobile on a smart phone.
