The new wheeled loader is said to offer high power, fast cycle times and good overall performance and has already been made available in other emergent markets.
Naeem Dhofar Trading Company in Oman has been using the L958F wheeled loader for some months in its operation, which involves quarrying wadi stone. The stone can be extremely hard and the location means that dust from the crusher is an issue on site. Meanwhile, temperatures can be as high as 40°C at times. However, the firm says that its machine has proven highly dependable, with good utilisation.
Also now being offered in India from SDLG are the smaller L946 wheeled loader and the G9138 grader.
The L946 wheeled loader features a bucket capacity of 3.5m3, with power from a 129kW diesel.
The G9138 is the smaller of two motor grader models that SDLG offers in the region and is said to be ideal for the construction of smaller municipal and rural roads. The G9138 is powered by a Deutz BF4M1013-15T3R/2 engine that delivers 111kW at 2100 rpm and allows a maximum speed of 39km/h forwards and 24km/h in reverse.
With these new machines for the Indian market, the firm hopes to further boost its penetration in the country’s construction sector, based on its well-established network of 16 dealers.
The firm says it is already well positioned in the wheeled loader segment for 3-5tonne load capacity machines and expects to grow its share of the grader market also. As India’s road construction sector is very strong, demand for graders is healthy in the country and SDLG expect to increase its sales of these machines.
