Being launched on the North American market, the Brokk 160 demolition machine is said to combine powerful performance and a lightweight design for a wide range of cement, metal processing, construction and demolition-related applications.
Also said to be beneficial to mining, tunneling, nuclear and other specialist applications, the Brokk 160 is said to be a powerful, lighter-weight replacement for the Brokk 180. Powered by a 25hp electric motor, it’s 12% more powerful than the Brokk 180, and has the capacity and stability to carry the same high-performance attachments. The Brokk 160 features a reach of 4.8metres with the included SB202 breaker.
With its height of 1.25metres, width of 0.8metres and attachment-free weight of 1,600kg, the 160 model is said to be easy to transport and operate on some of the most inaccessible jobsites. Its emissions-free motor allows usage in confined spaces. In addition, the machine’s remote control box enables the operator to remain a safe distance away from hazards such as falling debris. Recommended maximum weight of attachments such as breakers, crushers, drills and shears is 270kgs.
In addition to the 160, Brokk offers eight models, ranging in size from the Brokk 50, at just 500kgs, up to the Brokk 800, at 10.82tonnes. The company also engineers and builds custom machines with special equipment such as cameras, extended arms, side-angling devices and cable drums.
