This will enable travellers to choose the best transport option for their urban journeys, promoting sustainable, safe and efficient multimode transport.
A key benefit of the project will be the capability to respond to any incident affecting urban roads and mobility by way of the installation of an Events and Incidents Management module available within EcoTrafiX, explained André Laux, chief operations officer for Kapsch TrafficCom.
Through this the council can reduce response times in the case of roadworks, bottlenecks or accidents, and establish coordinated solutions and responses.
