Bosnia's state-owned motorway company JP Autoceste FBiH has launched a tender for the completion of the 5.5km-long Hranjen Tunnel.

Autoceste FBiH said the contract is likely worth around €63 million and take 30 months. It will include breaking through the last part of the tunnel, building the primary substructure and installing the secondary lining. There will also be preparation of project documentation for the final phase of the construction of the tunnel.

The Hranjen Tunnel is part of the Praca-Gorazde expressway, now under construction and which will link the Bosnian capital Sarajevo to the town of Gorazde, a distance of 100km.
