The first section of a new highway in Cameroon is due to open shortly. The new highway will connect the coastal town of Kribi with Edea, which lies mid-way between Cameroon’s two major cities, Doula and Yaounde.
This first 42.5km stretch will be ready in due course. However, building the remaining 92km of the new N7 highway could take up to five years to complete. The project is costing an estimated US$462 million and is being delivered under the PPP model.
