Work on an Indian expressway project is going ahead.
Work is to go ahead on a highway project in India following a decision by the Union Environment Ministry. The approval for the environmental clearance (EC) stage has now been given for Phase III of the Chennai-Bengaluru Expressway.
The project is expected to cost close to US$468 million. Once complete, the expressway will provide and improved connection between Sriperumbudur and Gudipala in Andhra Pradesh. The project is one of several new expressway works underway in India at present.
