A US$2.8 billion budget is planned for bridge and road improvement works in the US state of Ohio. The programme is being managed by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).

The programme will see 950 road and bridge improvement projects being carried out in Ohio. Of the 950 projects, 885 will be for replacement or repair works to bridges. There will be 176 projects involving safety improvements. Meanwhile, 282km of roads will be resurfaced.

The work will improve transport in the state, reducing traffic bottlenecks at key points in the network, improving journey times for drivers. Safety will also be improved for road users.
