UAE highway link underway

Construction is underway on a key highway link in the UAE. The project is costing close to US$218 million and connects Jumeirah district with the Parallel Roads and Al Khail Road. One of the significant portions of the work is the construction of a flyover at the intersection of the First Al-Khalil Street and Latifa Bint Hamdan. Construction is underway on a key highway link in the UAE. The project is costing close to US$218 million and connects Jumeirah district with the Parallel Roads and Al Khail Road. One of the significant portions of the work is the construction of a flyover at the intersection of the First Al-Khalil Street and Latifa Bint Hamdan. One section of the work is being carried out by the contractor, China State Company, and is due for completion in 2018. The Chinese firm’s contract will include building Umm Al-Sheef Street and Latifa Bint Hamdan Street between the Al-Safa Interchange and the Al-Manara Interchange on the Sheikh Zayed Road. Meanwhile the section from SZR & Al Khalil Road and DubaiLand to the east and Jumeirah to the west will be carried out by the National Contracting Company and will be due for completion in early 2019.
